# How to Display Author Section and Author Page

## Multiple Authors Per Book

Many books have co-authors, editors, or contributors. Books Gallery handles this effortlessly - assign multiple authors to any book and display them cleanly on the book detail page. Each author can have their own profile page showing all their books in the gallery.

 

To display the Author Section in the Book Details page and to enable a Author Page, please follow the below steps:

 

### Step-1: Download and Install the Author Extension

First download the **Author Extension** from the below link -
 [https://github.com/GitMubarak/books-gallery-author](https://github.com/GitMubarak/books-gallery-author)

 

1. Go to to your WordPress admin dashboard
 2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
 3. Choose the zip file and click Install Now
 4. Click Activate

 

### Step-2: Create an Author Profile

Go to WBG Books → Authors → Create an **author bio** there.

### Step-3: Enable Multi Authors

1. Go to WBG Books → General Settings
 2. Find the option Preferred Author
 3.Choose Multiple option from there
 4. Save Settings

### Step-4: Assign Multiple Authors to a Book

1. Open a book in the editor
 2. Find the meta box Co-Authors
 3. Select your Authors from the list
 4. Update the book page

### Step-5: Make an Author as Primary Author

1. Open a book in the editor
 2. Go to **Book Information** section
 3. Find the meta info option **Author**
 4. Put the *Full Author Name*here
 5. Update the book page

## Verify Author Panel in Book Details Page

Now, if you open the book details page, you should see the **Author Bio Box** there.

## Verify Individual Author Page

Now if you click on the author name or read more link, you will see the author profile page showing author bio and all their books in the gallery.

## **Hide Author Bio from Details Page**

If you want to hide the author bio section from book details page -

 

1. Go to WBG Books → Book Details Settings
 2. Find the option "Hide Author Panel".
 3. Check or enable the option
 4. Save Settings

 

The author bio section will be hidden from your book details page.

Same way, you can also change author panel title.
